Lions are members of community service clubs, dedicated to the idea that the men and women who live in a community are in the best position to know who needs help and why. More than 44,000 strong, these local clubs are part of the world's largest service organization, with 1.4 million members serving in more than 185 countries and areas. The association is both non-political and non-sectarian. Lions are now best known for their sight-related programs, including SightFirst, the world's largest blindness prevention program.  We also offer, Diabetes Awareness, Disaster Relief Grants, Hearing Prevention and Aids, Youth Programs, Drug Awareness, a partnership with Habitat for Humanity amongst others programs.

While participating in and helping in other programs, the Miami-Dade Lions Club has chosen to focus on children and the environment with an emphasis on LEO Clubs.  We currently sponsor three (3) Leo Clubs with over 100 members combined and one Boy Scout Troop in the area with over 40 scouts.  Aside from that, we have been able to create wonderful community ties with many corporations and community leaders.
